"I think you should all be aware of an incident that occurred with my client Gabrielle Union and the owner of Mood," reads the email from Holly Shakoor of BWR Public Relations. "Mood was going to host her birthday party which is a week away."

The message then goes on to say that David Judaken, owner of the hot spot, allegedly "didn't realize Gabrielle Union was black," but once he found out, he canceled the party.

George Clooney denies he thought about killing himself.

Actor George Clooney has denied reports that he contemplated committing suicide after he was injured on a film set.

Reports that he considered self-harm after being hurt filming Syriana were taken "out of context", Clooney said in a statement to the BBC News website.

"I certainly did not talk about wanting to kill myself," he said.

More foreign-language movies have been submitted to this year's Oscar awards then ever before.

Movies from a record 58 countries are in contention for this year's foreign-language Academy Award, including the first entries ever from Iraq, Costa Rica and Fiji.

The previous record was 56 films for the 2003 Oscars. Each country is allowed to submit one film.

Iraq's entry is director Jamil Rostami's "Requiem of Snow," a drama set amid a drought. From Costa Rica comes director Esteban Ramirez's "Caribe," about oil development that threatens a tropical paradise. Fiji has submitted Vilsoni Hereniko's "The Land Has Eyes," about a South Pacific outcast who fights her village's self-righteous traditionalists. . . . . .Full Story
