Colombian soccer star Elson Becerra murdered in nightclub.

Colombian soccer star ELSON BECERRA has been murdered while holidaying in his hometown of Cartagena.

The footballer, who plays for United Arab Emirates club Al Jazzira as well as his home country, and his friend ALEXANDER RIOS were both killed in a nightclub on Sunday (08JAN06) after arguing with a group of men.

Local police believe the 27-year-old sports ace's murder was a contract killing and they have opened a probe into the murder.

COLONEL MAURICIO AGUDELO, police chief of Bolivar state, says, "The attackers were looking for a chance in the discotheque and in the middle of the music they committed the double crime.". . . . . .Source

Halle Berry rescues two dogs!

Actress Halle Berry reportedly saved two dogs in a single afternoon this past Friday. One short-backed Pomeranian puppy was spared while crossing a busy street in West Hollywood as Halle Berry, with her cat-like reflexes, halted to an abrupt stop while driving in her white Range Rover. Halle Berry successfully sought out the dog's owner at a nearby house but then discovered another dog behind some bushes. Halle Berry saves the day once again and pulls the second dog out of harm's way. . . . . .Source
