Leonardo DiCaprio's father hit by a car.

It was a big scare for Leonardo DiCaprio on Monday. His artist father, George, who was a comic-book dealer when Leo was a boy, was riding his bike in the L.A. neighborhood of Los Feliz when he was hit by a car. A source said the star's dad was unconscious in the ambulance that rushed him to the hospital. DiCaprio was soon at his bedside and relieved to learn that, though his father was banged up, he'll recover fully from his injuries. He was released after two nights. . . . . .Source

30-year-old man shot dead at "Get Rich or Die Tryin" movie.

Shelton Flowers, 30, had just watched the rapper’s movie Wednesday when he got into a confrontation with three men in the bathroom. A fight ensued and spilled out into the concessions area, where Flowers was shot, police said.
Authorities were looking for witnesses, and no suspects were immediately arrested.
50 Cent said he was saddened by the fatal shooting.
“I feel for the victim’s family in this situation,” 50 Cent said on ABC’s “The View” on Friday. “But you know, these weren’t kids. This was a 30-year-old man (who) had a dispute with three other guys.”. . . . . .Full Story

Executive producer of all the "Halloween" movies killed in Jordan bombings.

Moustapha Akkad, who was also a director, had been staying in one of the three hotels hit by suicide bombers in Amman on Wednesday.
Arab TV stations reported that Akkad died in hospital on Friday.
He produced all eight Halloween movies and directed English-language film The Message, about the Prophet Muhammad.
His daughter Rima Akkad Monla, 34, died in the explosion, her mother said.
The American national, who lived in Lebanon, had travelled to Amman to attend a wedding.
